Management of Hepatitis B Virus Reactivation after the Completion of Cancer Chemotherapy using a Plan-do-Check-Act Cycle

چکیده
The reactivation of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) following systemic chemotherapy reportedly caused acute liver dysfunction as a fatal complication. HBV sometimes occurs even after cessation chemotherapy, especially in patients with hematological malignancies. A retrospective survey surface (HBs) antigen-negative cancer HBs and/or HBc antibodies was conducted by multidisciplinary team to determine examination rate DNA test completion chemotherapy. Among 83 resolved infection, who were followed up for more than 3 months, only 17 underwent monitoring every 1-3 months (17/83; 20.5%). Since September, 2022, has informed attending physician regarding continuous infection until 12

Management of chemotherapy-induced hepatitis B virus reactivation.
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy is an important issue in cancer patients. An elevated HBV viral load usually precedes hepatitis flare, and hepatic decompensation and eventual death is not infrequent once viral reactivation is initiated. Reverse seroconversion from hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-negative to HBsAg-positive would also occur in hepatitis ...
متن کاملUsing Plan-Do-Check-Act Circulation to Improve the Management of Panic Value in the Hospital
The concept “panic value” (or critical value) was first brought up by American scholar Lundberg[1] in 1972. It refers to the results of auxiliary examinations that are widely deviating from normal or anticipated results. The occurrence of these abnormal results shows that patients could be in a dangerous situation that their lives might be threatened. If clinicians are able to get the informati...

Reactivation of hepatitis B virus in patients receiving chemotherapy.
In patients undergoing chemotherapy for the treatment of malignant disease, the reactivation of hepatitis B virus in hepatitis B surface antigen-positive patients has been frequently reported. However, activation has also been reported in hepatitis B surface antigen-negative patients who test positive for hepatitis B core antibody and/or hepatitis B surface antibody, who were thought to have ha...
